The Haworth Public Schools are a community public school district, serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade from Haworth, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States.
As of the 2007-08 school year, the district's lone school had an enrollment of 514 students and 34.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15.1.[1]
The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I," the second highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[3]
Public school students in grades 9-12 attend Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest in Demarest, which serves students from Closter, Demarest and Haworth. The high school is part of the Northern Valley Regional High School District, which also serves students from Harrington Park, Northvale, Norwood and Old Tappan at Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan.[4]
